kidsbball.jpgSometimes unforeseen stories in the realm of athletics occur in the midst of an utter boring sports season...and it makes everyone smile - at least for awhile - because, for better or for worse, it gives us something to talk about for the next few days.

Alas, the SLU Basketball team participated in some noteworthy activity on a random Thursday night in our nation's capital.

Namely, setting a modern Division I record for fewest points in a game, falling 49-20 to George Washington in the Atlantic 10 opener.

Even the Rams scored more than 20 points in 4 of their games.

Blues win 4-2 at home against the division leading Dallas Stars. [NHL.com]

Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant coach, Art Valero, may be joining Scott Linehan's staff very soon. [St. Petersburg Times]

Blues goaltender, Manny Legace, is heading to Atlanta on January 27 to participate in his first career All Star game. [StLouisBlues.com]
