For a game that meant "nothing", the Cardinals played with a fire and intensity we haven't seen in quite some time last night. Safe to say their was added motivation for the Cards to continue pushing the downward spiral that is the New York Mets' 2007 season. And you know what? They deserve every bit of it, if for no other reason than Barry Lyons sliding into to the Cards dugout and injuring John Tudor in '87.
By the way, Rick Horton laid out "his" 2008 Cardinals rotation last night on FSN Midwest's Card's postgame show. It read as follows:
Adam Wainwright
Dontrelle Willis/Curt Schilling
Mark Mulder
Braden Looper
Joel Pineiro/Brad Thompson
